Artemis Cascavelle Hospital

Cascavelle

healthcare

Artemis Cascavelle Hospital was designed to create a modern healthcare environment that balances functionality, comfort, and hospitality-inspired aesthetics. The project focused on elevating the patient experience through carefully considered spatial planning, calming material selections, and integrated lighting solutions.

❋ Concept

The concept centred around humanising healthcare spaces. Rather than relying on traditional hospital aesthetics, the design introduces softer forms, warm timber textures, integrated lighting, and curated visual elements to create a calm and reassuring atmosphere for patients and visitors.

The project aimed to blur the boundary between healthcare and hospitality while maintaining operational efficiency and accessibility.

❋ Planning Strategy

One of the strongest aspects of the project is the way circulation and waiting areas were treated as experiential spaces rather than purely functional zones.

The use of:

  • double-height volumes,

  • indirect lighting,

  • soft curved forms,

  • and restrained material palettes

creates an environment that feels calm, open, and intuitive to navigate.

❋ Material Palette

The palette combines:

  • light neutral flooring,

  • warm oak timber finishes,

  • soft whites and terracotta tones,

  • muted pastel greens and blues,

  • brushed metallic accents,

  • and integrated linear lighting.

This balance helps maintain a sterile and clean healthcare environment while avoiding the harshness typically associated with medical interiors.

❋ Experience

The design of Artemis Cascavelle Hospital focuses on creating a calm, welcoming, and user-friendly healthcare environment. Through warm materials, soft lighting, and open spatial planning, the space reduces the clinical feel traditionally associated with hospitals while improving comfort, accessibility, and overall patient experience.
